To begin

Nibbles and Nuts

Cheddar walnut crisps, Honey spiced nuts & vegetable crisps accompanied by Loweswater Gold from the Cumbrian legendary ales brewery.

 

Followed by

Risotto of roasted butternut squash, parsnip & sage served on chargrilled aubergine. It will be paired with Blackbeck Belle, an ale from Blackbeck Brewery.

 

Main Course

Herdwick lamb shank (Yew Tree Farm, Rosthwaite) slowly braised till meltingly tender, in Cumbrian ale, with garlic, herbs & root vegetables. Served with celeriac & potato mash and a rich stock gravy.

Or for non meat lovers: Blue cheese, onion & walnut tart.

This will be joined with Old Faithful ale produced by Tirril Brewery.

 

For Dessert

Poached pear with butternut squash & Mascarpone Cream

or Brownie fudge pie with vanilla ice cream.

 Complimenting this course will be Golden fleece ale from the Dent Brewery.

 

Our Cumbrian Cheese board :

Eden sunset (Appleby creamery)

 Wardhall Cheese & Cumberland Farmhouse cheddar (Thornby Moor dairy)

Served with ale bread & oatcakes and homemade autumn chutney.

This can be enjoyably washed down with Red Bull ale from the Barngates Brewery.
