The weekend of 15th - 17th August saw CAMRA members at the Queen's Head,
Tirril for their Magnificent Seventh Beer and Sausage Festival, and at the
Prince of Wales, Foxfield for their Summer Beer weekend.
Tirril focussed on local beers, including new brews from Loweswater and Yates,
and with a full range of Tirril brews available.
Foxfield had beers from throughout the country, including fairly new breweries such as
Upper Agbrigg in Holmfirth and Wapping in Liverpool. They also had Bee's Knees from
Yates and Summer Sands from their own brewery.
Although outside our branch area, both festivals had excellent selections of
beer available and were well worth the visit even our Beer Monster was
happy!
